It’s time for one of my book clubs to pick the next 6 months (or so) worth of books. Here are the nominations:
- The Submission by Amy Waldman
- The Midwife’s Confession by Diane Chamberlain
- Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
- Caleb’s Crossing by Geraldine Brooks
- Allah, Liberty and Love: The Courage to Reconcile Faith and Freedom by Irshad Manj
- The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Caroline Mackler
- The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
- The Psychopath Test: A Journey Through the Madness Industry by Jon Ronson
- The Descendants by Kaui Hart Hemmings
- How to Eat a Cupcake by Meg Donohue
- The Tiger’s Wife by Téa Obreht
- Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson
Have you read any of these? Discussed them with your book club? Help me decide what to vote for!

We are starting the process of choosing our next line up of books too! One of my favorite parts of book club. We have not read any of these as a book club, but wow, there’s a lot on that list I’d love to get to!

I read Ready Player One and loved it. I hear the audio is even better.
I’ll be listening to The Tiger’s Wife and the Steve Jobs book soon. They were both highly recommended and I think the book club could spend days discussing Steve Jobs.

I want to read Psychopath Test, Steve Jobs and Ready Player One. I hope you enjoy them. If you have never read We Need to Talk about Kevin, that is another great book club read Laura.

Oh I would say The Submission for sure. That has a lot to talk about. And definitely not The Tiger’s Wife.

Hi Laura! Can I sway your group with the promise of an author phone-in or visit?
Either way, happy reading! Best, Meg
